Successful Participation in the Water Loss Conference 2022

As a consequence of the climate crisis, water scarcity is an increasingly pressing issue. One of the biggest challenges that water distribution networks face in this regard is preventing drinking water loss and decreasing the energy necessary for distributing the water in the network.

Michaela Leštáková holds the talk „Semantic Pipe Leakage Detection with FIWARE Smart City Platform“

These topics were adressed at the Water Loss Conference 2022 held in Prague Congress Centre, Czech Republic, on the 12. – 16. of June 2022. Participants from various infrastructure providers, companies and research centres presented their approaches, solutions and strategies for water leakage detection and management.

The Chair of Fluid Systems was represented by Michaela Leštáková und Kevin T. Logan. In their talk titled „Semantic Pipe Leakage Detection with FIWARE Smart City Platform“ , they presented the possibilities that smart city platforms offer for leakage detection and monitoring. The talk is a part of their research in the project emergenCITY.
