The aim of this student project is the development and implementation of an intelligent control strategy for the Slip Length Tribometer (SLT). In the micrometer range, nonlinear effects caused by capillary forces pose challenges for classical control methods. The student investigates and implements suitable approaches such as fuzzy logic, expert systems for PID controllers, or neural networks, and integrates them into the existing LabVIEW program. The focus is on dynamic PID scaling as well as the analysis of the acquired data to evaluate control performance.
