Appointment of Prof. Pelz as spokesman for the research field E+E

At TU Darmstadt, interdisciplinary research is carried out in three research fields: Energy and Environment (E+E), Information and Intelligence (I+I) and Matter and Materials (M+M). Congratulations to Prof. Pelz, who has been appointed as spokesman for the Energy and Environment research field!

At TU Darmstadt, interdisciplinary research is carried out in three research fields: Energy and Environment (E+E), Information and Intelligence (I+I) and Matter and Materials (M+M). The aim is to bundle competencies in order to jointly create a sustainable future that is worth living in.

The research field E+E comprises the four profile topics:

  • Carbon-Neutral Circles,
  • Integrated Energy Systems,
  • Scalable Clean Water Cycles,
  • Thermo-Fluids and Interfacial Phenomena.

A total of 62 institutes from 11 departments are researching these topics. Our institute is also represented in some of these profile topics.

In spring 2021, Prof. Pelz was appointed as spokesman for the research field E+E. In the end of 2021, the general assembly of the profile topics and the general assembly E+E were held. The research field E+E is now fully established and will start actively shaping the research field and the profile topics in the New Year. It is a great honor for Prof. Pelz and our institute.
