The first Data Management Letter – a new publication type of the journal ing.grid, was written by Petra Gehring. Petra Gehring is Professor of Philosophy at the University, Head of the Centre for Responsible Digitality and Topical Editor of the journal ing.grid.

In this letter, Prof. Gehring initiates an interesting discussion regarding the role of open data and the act of sharing data, which involves well-founded decisions to meet good scientific data criteria.

The Data Management Letters are a new publication type at ing.grid. These are non-peer-reviewed articles published on an invitation-only basis, aiming to delve deeper into pertinent discussions related to research data management.

Another recent Data Management Letter was written by our research associate, Dr. Izadora Silva Pimenta. She discusses the need for critical thinking regarding the reusability of (meta)data, emphasizing the role of the start of a data cycle in a dynamic of power.
