pressure vessel

In turbomachines with an open circuit, the fluid is in direct contact with the environment. Investigating the environmental influences is not possible under normal conditions because they are not reproducible. The pressure vessel solves this problem. Inside, pressure and temperature can be varied and different gases can be used. When investigating fans, the pressure chamber is used to be able to consider Mach and Reynolds number influences on efficiency separately.
